STAFFING/ SCHEDULING COORDINATOR
- Must be a Certified Nurse Aide/CNA
- Must have Online Scheduling Software experience
- Must be proficient in On Shift Scheduling Software
Our Staffing/ Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for scheduling nurses, certified medication aides, restorative nurse aides, and certified nurse aides for coverage for all shifts, communicating with our Nursing Administration team, and others to maintain care coordination and continuity of care.
Responsibilities:
- Check assignment book daily to ensure staff is in attendance, call ins are replaced, and if needed reassign residents
- Make rounds before each meal for proper positioning
- Make rounds every two hours to observe turning and repositioning
- Shower sheets should be checked daily for timely showers/bed baths making sure they are done, if not done- follow up
- Ensure newly hired employees are properly trained and oriented to the floor and kiosk
- Assist in interviewing nurse aides when requested
- Do in-services and training as needed or scheduled with all nursing staff
- Will be responsible for the on call phone Monday-Friday
- Able to relate changes in residents to charge nurses/supervisors
- Assist in completion of POC and ensure staff is charting daily
- Weekly checks on residents’ nails and grooming
- Attending care plan/QAPI meetings as needed
- Should be able to work the floor, if needed, including nights and weekends
- Responsible to create master schedule every month
- Should be in the dining room during meals to assist with passing trays and feeding residents.
- Managing and controlling overtime for all nursing staff
- Do 1:1 or write ups for lunch breaks, tardiness, frequent/excessive call-ins, no call no shows
- Staff requests given to DON in timely manner for approval/denial
- Throughout the day assist with needs as they arise
Requirements:
- Must have an active and in good standing Texas, Certified Nurse Aide certification
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Detail oriented and highly organized.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Ability to make decisions and problem solve.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Experience in health care staffing preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Preferred experience with Point Click Care
